Day 329 (Saturday 6/15/13)- Raleigh, NC

Having a full day in Raleigh just wasn't enough time to fully enjoy the amazing museums here. We spent a whopping seven hours at the Natural Sciences Museum which spanned two large buildings. This was by far the most impressive science museum we encountered on the trip and the most exhausting.

We happened to go on the same day as a Health Fair so included in our education was a presentation on drowning. I was shocked to learn that it can be near impossible to see someone drowning on the bottom of a pool if other swimmers are churning up water as they swim.

In the second building we saw a sloth, all kinds of bugs and snakes, seahorses, a weird eel like creature and lots of cool interactive exhibits. Finishing the day at a history museum we had fun guessing the use for some old medical equipment and viewing the sports history wing.

This guy did not like me...he kept lunging at the glass
