Day 335 (Friday 6/21/13)- Manassas, VA

Home to two major campaigns during the Civil War, Manassas is remembered for it's role in the rise of the South. The 90-day volunteer Union forces were confident that at the first gun shot Confederate soldiers would scurry and so the ensuing battle came as a total shock. By the second battle the soldiers were much better prepared but that didn't prevent them losing 3,300 men.

Seeing the iconic Stone Bridge and Stone House were certainly exciting but had some strong competition for our attention. Namely a park video narrated by Richard Dreyfuss and a man peeing right next to the Stone House.
